Find your spark for lamp repairs in our hands-on electrical skills workshop. Join us and our qualified electrician Taylor on Saturday October 26th from 10-1pm as we dive into the fundamentals of electrical theory. Safety is our priority, and we will guide you through best practices when working with electrical repairs. Our goal is to offer a hand on workshop that will give you the confidence to rewire your own vintage finds or sentimental pieces. 

What You'll Learn:

Understanding Electrical Basics: Get acquainted with the essentials of electrical theory, demystifying the components that power lamps.

Safety First: Learn crucial safety measures when working with electricity, ensuring a secure and confident approach to lamp repair.

Mastering Wire Stripping Tools: Gain hands-on experience in effectively using wire stripping tools, a key skill for any DIY enthusiast.

Lamp Anatomy: Disassemble lamps provided in class to understand how each piece fits together. Explore the various parts and techniques essential for lamp rewiring and repair.

Hands-On Rewiring: Apply your newfound knowledge by rewiring a lamp in class with hands on instruction.

Bring Your Own Lamp or Work on Restored Finds: Feel free to bring your own lamp in need of rewiring, or choose from a selection provided by the Habitat for Humanity Restore. Restore lamps will be available for purchase if desired.

This workshop is perfect for beginners and DIY enthusiasts eager to add electrical and lamp repair skills to their toolkit. Join us for this fun and informative session!
